OUR STORY

I’ve been a mentor and advisor for over 35 years, including 18 years as a retired school counselor. But my real credentials come from the trenches of life.

I was raised by a single mother. I survived a house fire as a teenager. I grew up poor, clawed my way to a six-figure career, and then had to rebuild my entire life from scratch after surviving a work-related stroke.

Through mentoring thousands of people, I learned one universal truth: 9 times out of 10, a journal, an inspirational word, or a powerful reminder is what gives someone the dignity and perseverance to keep going.
